This can be quite a daunting task. Just where exactly do you start. Hopefully I can help with some very basic tips to get you going in the right direction.<br /><br />First establish your construction budget. This number will allow your designer to estimate how large a home you can afford.<br /><br />Next create what I call a wish list. This is a list of every room in the house. For each room you should identify&nbsp;the approximate dimensions (10'x12'), important features and&nbsp; if a Kitchen/Bathroom what fixtures or appliances should be included.<br /><br />Next decide on an Architectural Style. Victorian, Craftsman, Mediterranean, and so on.
